I hope you enjoy browsing and finding out about my art :) I try to capture my passion for cars in my work, and in my most recent work I have been focusing on the areas and aspects of reflection and perspective from the car form and its surroundings. I look at where they are located and how their location relates to them, literally and symbolically. I am interested in the ways light can strike the shapes and angles of a cars exterior, providing interesting patterns and lines of colours and shades, as well as distorting, altering and enhancing the cars original colours and lines. I use photography to capture these moments of light, from which I create my work. A recent graduate from The University of Northampton in Fine Art Painting & Drawing, these three years have really helped me to progress, especially in oil painting as well as gathering a greater understanding of colour and composition when trying to capture the moment. I strive to produce paintings/drawings that I hope will entice the viewers interest and perhaps touch their emotions in some way.
