Ethereal, esoteric and otherworldly are words that have been used by others to describe my drawings. Those words fit as it is from this energy that I draw. The drawings are built with strong foundations from observation and are described via the loose but specific mark making. The marks, the subject pose and gesture along with composition swirl in the energy of the otherworldly. They are small and intimate works that when enlarged captivate at least as much as they do at the original size. We start making our marks from birth with whatever materials we have. A child’s hand on the parent’s shoulder, an invisible mark that can never be removed.
