My name is Sam VP Noten and I am a self-taught artist. Artist that creates pen and ink art and paintings. A puzzle of my subconsciousness view of the world. I was born and raised most of my years in Amsterdam in The Netherlands. My origin is from Surinam based in South America. Since 2007 I have Alopecia universalis (AU), also known as alopecia areata universalis, is a medical condition involving the loss of all body hair. Drawing and painting is a form of meditation for me and gives me peace and satisfaction. In my creations I am guided by my feeling and intuition. The works are mainly abstract and are snapshots of daily life, such as undergoing growth processes, developments and challenges in life. The common thread in my artworks is about the journey to get closer to your core. By following my passion I hope I can inspire other people. In my pen and ink artworks I use symbols. These are a reflection of life as I experience it. The colors I use for my paintings are also a nice combination that gives the pen and ink artworks more depth. Creating awareness with my message "Psst.. be your own hero", I hope to inspire people to trust there gut feeling and use there Inner Power and know that "You are good enough!"
