Drawing and painting have been a way of life with me since childhood. Born and raised near Niagara Falls, New York, I love to draw and create back stories with my art. And as David Hockney said, "I love to depict." Artist from all genres inspire me, though I do have my favorites that I return to again and again; Degas, Otto Dix, Watteau, George Bellows, and many more. I began using British scraper board once I moved New York City. I liked it because the finished product reminded me of etchings of old, a style I always was attracted to. I also like to draw on paper with charcoal, pencils and conte' crayon. For painting, I use oil paints with a masonite or canvas support.
