I very much enjoy drawing, skulls in particular. This skull drawing wasn't really inspired by anything or anyone. This is just me having fun. I like to name the skulls I draw sometimes. Greetings! Thank you for visiting my website. I consider myself a Visual Artist/Studio Artist/Painter/Conceptual Artist. I’ve been passionate about art my entire life. Art was my favorite subject in school, and I indulged myself in nearly every art activity available. My art teachers were always encouraging of my artistic inclinations. I earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from Chowan University in North Carolina, and I’ve been creating professionally ever since. I come from a family of creators. Both my mom and dad passed down creative genes to me. They influenced me in positive ways and encouraged me to express myself artistically. When I was a little girl, my mom made most of my clothes, as a skilled seamstress. She also made quilts. My dad wrote songs, played the organ and the guitar, and had a knack for drawing. My big brother, also an artist, had a positive influence on me. He loved to draw, write songs and poetry. I enjoy participating in group exhibitions and hope to one day have a one-woman solo exhibition. I like to know that I can inspire others to make art just by making my own art. I feel myself growing as an emerging artist within the art community by sharing my art, meeting new artists, and collaborating. I thrive by being among other creators. It’s where I feel the most at home, and I feel it’s where I belong.
