STATEMENT: My artwork is not sexual, rather intimate and comforting. It conveys the pleasure of being alone naked by ourselves. Nudity for me is that intimate moment where there is nothing to hide when we are alone with our own vulnerability. Fascinated for years of classical art and illustration studies I play easily and comfortably with the male form in a variety of techniques: acrylic, watercolor, charcoal and photography. I "speak" every technique like a different language the laws of light and shadow with a contemporary reminiscence of the old masters. BIO: Born in Barcelona, Spain in 1966 my interest in art stems early in my childhood when I used the white walls of my parent's house as a big canvas giving me the opportunity to personalize them. Noticing an interest on the arts and weary of seeing me drawing everywhere, my parents decided to send me to children's art school at age 8. After graduating from high school I continued my studies of the beaux arts at Pau Gargallo University in Barcelona for 9 years where I was awarded two BA degrees in Graphic Design and in Artistic Illustration and Painting while consecutively studying Photography and Set Design for television and stage, dedicating the time between painting and graphic design. Subsequently I had my first exhibitions at several galleries in Barcelona. During the 1992 Olympic Games I participated in the preparation of graphic designs for the Olympic Ceremonies. During the last decade, my work has been exhibited in numerous galleries in Europe and the United States. I have resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for the past 10 years where I have my studio/gallery located at 831 N Federal Hwy. Suite F. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.
