Frank Amador is a contemporary visual artist who lives and works in Southern California, United States. He grew up in a smart and educated family of doctors, nurses, and engineers. Amador’s mother had a significant influence on his passion for art; he fondly remembers watching her draw flowers on notebooks and napkins. Additionally, one of his uncles, an engineer, allowed Amador to use his mechanical pencils, rulers, and desk for drawing. At the age of four, Amador began tracing images of babies from diaper boxes. As he progressed, he started creating murals in his classmates’ rooms during middle school. The characters from “Saint Seiya,” a popular series at that time, served as subjects for his first murals in Mexico City. Although Amador studied International Business in Mexico City, Fine Arts has always been his true passion. For him, painting is both a necessity and a pleasure.
