Carter was successful at the Louvre after his piece titled “Born Again” was sold. Leading up to this Carter has exhibited his work multiple times in Los Angeles. In his first exhibition he sold three paintings. Shortly after this he completed a mural live in front of a crowd of 65,000. Carter was also featured on TV with PBS. Carter’s daring departure to Los Angeles, marked by a period of homelessness, profoundly shaped his artistic vision. Against all odds, Carter showcased his art at the Louvre within a year, highlighting his tenacity and talent.
