This young child questions what he sees around him. His gaze scans an uncertain horizon and I feel a lot of empathy for him. I would like to hug him to reassure him. After many years spent abroad, I now live in France in the Corrèze region. I am an artist passionate about drawing (particularly charcoal) and watercolor and every day I devote myself to my works. Humans, nature and the urban are themes that I often approach while trying to bring poetry to them. When I paint or draw a portrait, throughout the creative work, a complicity is established between me and the model, whether previously foreign or familiar to me. For me the creative process is a true encounter with oneself and the other. Also, I try to transmit as many emotions as possible through my works which are so many journeys and forays into life, color and light. Thanks to the subtlety of its pigments and their transparency, watercolor is a wonderful medium for restoring the textures and colors of living things in general and more specifically of humans. Charcoal is also a medium that I love because it allows me an extraordinary letting go, a freedom to play between shadows and lights.
