Landscape mixed media on papers 70x100 original art Landscape BW Mineral Oxide on Paper 70x100 cm Original Art Ready to Hang A unique and original work of art This painting, made with mineral oxide powder pigments on Canson paper, is a unique and original work of art. There are no reproductions of this painting. A journey through the imagination The work presents evanescent portions of landscapes that invite the observer to get lost with their imagination. The dreamlike shots evoke distant memories, lived experiences and, inevitably, Sicily, the artist's homeland. Sicily: inspiration and synthesis Sicily, with its vast expanses and gentle plateaus, is a source of inspiration for the artist. In his works, the island is transformed into large barren clearings that extend to the horizon, meeting the sky or the sea. This perfect synthesis between earth and sky represents the essence of Sicily for the artist. Landscapes of the soul The landscapes of Marilina Marchica are not limited to representing physical places, but become landscapes of the soul, universal and capable of resonating in each of us. His works invite us to reflect on our memories, our experiences and our relationship with the world around us. This work is part of an exhibition that presents four works by the artist: an oil on canvas and three paintings based on mineral oxides on paper. In his works with mineral oxides, the artist introduces an element of randomness. The works are in fact created through color baths that determine the basic structure of each painting.

Marilina Marchica, born in Agrigento, where she works and lives, she graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna in 2008. Her research is oriented towards a reflection on the theme of subtraction and on the aesthetics of the sign at the limit of abstraction thanks to an investigation of architecture and the wall as an internal / external diaphragm. The dividing surface, in particular, "the wall or border" takes on a marked symbolic value in relation to collapses and demolitions as a metaphor for a universal and existential dimension. Her works are present in many private and public Contemporary Art Collections. ...My painting tells of the relationship between man, nature and time, the landscape, the sign and the trace, through the stripping, reduction and subtraction of figurative elements. "my landscapes are" boxes "of memories, day after day they welcome events and individuals who leave their marks and change their boundaries and appearance
