This work deals with ideas around, healing, mending and fixing, through bandages and splints, but at the same time bandages also hide things. This I use as a metaphor for todays politics. On the right are two soldiers ready to enforce the idea with violence.

I am a fine artist who is primarily interested in challenging narratives. I see my practice as a sort of experimentation and refinement of my conceptual as well as technical skills. My studio is my laboratory. I have travelled and worked far and wide across the world, most recently I worked in Egypt for 5 months on doing research for new drawings and getting new material. I have previously worked in Varanasi, India and Russia. I am currently in the United Kingdom on an Exceptional talent visa to work as a fine artist. I am doing research about the first world war, and I am in London to make use of all that the UK has to offer as in museums and archives to enrich my artwork. I am originally from Johannesburg, South Africa.
