Born in Toulouse, France, Pierre Ricci left the South-West in the 90's for the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Paris, to begin his engineering career and to also teach himself Street Photography in his spare time. With the arrival of digital photography, back in Toulouse, he chose music concerts as playground to experiment this new technique. His works were published on Radio France website and he joined the first french stage photography agency, Dalle APRF. He begun to be published in all french press and collaborated with publishing projects around history of music. Radiohead, Korn, Muse, Coldplay, Massive Attack, Strokes, Sigur Ros and many others offered him great epic moments. He collaborated also with Symphonic Orchestra of Toulouse or Jazz festivals, and exhibited his works in several shows in Toulouse. After a while, he decided to discover a new unknown world for him, the contemporary dance. He became the photographer of the Choregraphic Development Center of Toulouse and worked with a lot of famous contemporary choregraphers: Boris Charmatz, Loïc Touzé, Alain Buffard, Robyn Orlin, Christian Rizzo, Nelisiwe Xaba, Akram Khan, etc. His images were used to communicate about dance pieces or festivals, published in articles or books. He was invited to exhibit his works during dance festivals. He regularly collaborates with dance, theater or circus companies and he continues his personal work on street still-life photography but, always inquisitive and creative, he is now, interested by drawing maps mixing Open & Big Data, Computing Science and Graphic Design.
