Yulia is a visual artist whose work explores the relationship between the inner world and external reality. Inspired by mythology, memory, emotion, and the atmosphere of dreams, she investigates how personal experience shapes perception and gives rise to symbolic meaning. She works primarily with drawing, painting, and mixed media, combining fine graphic linework with expressive color and layered textures. This interplay allows her to shift between precision and spontaneity, between structure and emotion. Her compositions often exist in a space between the real and the imagined, encouraging open interpretation and emotional reflection. Originally from Moscow and currently based in Prague, Yulia draws on her experience of navigating different cultural perspectives. This sense of in-betweenness informs much of her work - exploring themes such as the tension between personal and collective memory, emotional presence, and the quiet influence of the subconscious. Her practice invites viewers into intimate, symbolic spaces where they are encouraged to pause, reflect, and connect with the image on a personal level.
