I'm a self-taught artist, inspired mainly by the work of Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely from the 1960s and 1970s. I've had quite a few solo exhibitions, and have also exhibited in many group shows including in London's Brick Lane Gallery, The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and more recently in the Nicholson Art Gallery in Brussels. My paintings explore the optical effects of linear distortion and arithmetical progression. The patterns and colours used are carefully selected to create either an optical illusion of movement, or to create a feeling of tension on the surface of the painting. Some paintings have been used as covers for a series of limited edition 12'' vinyl LPs by the German record label Drone Records - see
