ABOUT THE ARTWORK

For the creation of this artwork I got inspired by Tchaikovsky´s Swan lake. The wonderful music helped me get in the flow and follow my instinct and the scenographies of the ballet inspired me to choose these dark blue colours. The size of the painting in cm is 100x120.

I’m a dancer and painter born in Rome, Italy. Since several years Berlin has been my home, where now i have also a family. With my artworks I seek to encourage contemplation and a collective journey into the mysterious realms of dreams and our inner world or inner landscapes, inviting viewers to engage with the artworks on a more intimate level. All paintings are acrylics on canvas, mostly following nocturnal themes and abstract sceneries, drawing inspiration from nature and its unpredictability. Having always lived in chaotic big cities, I see painting as a portal, offering an escape into a dreamlike, slightly surreal world of landscapes(seascapes, cloudscapes) where I can immerse myself and trigger different kinds of feelings unrelated to the material and hectic struggles of life. Painting gives me the freedom to reflect and be still or feel and explore all emotions with curiosity rather than fear.
