A passionate and motivated visual artist working with acrylic on canvas and paper. Dr. Yıldız Arun was born in Izmir. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Ege University. She has 3 solo, exhibitions, 2 exhibitions with a sculptor, and participated to many national and international group exhibitions and art workshops, symposiums. Her painting Industrial City was chosen by St. Ettienne University, in France as posters, banners, book cover in 2018. A paper was presented on Yıldız Arun’s paintings at the Aesthetics Congress held in Belgrade in 2019. Then became a section of a book published at the University of Belgrade. As Deleuze argues, “ In painting, it is not a matter of reproducing or inventing forms, but of capturing forces. For this reason no art is figurative... The task of painting is defined as the attempt to render visible forces that are not themselves visible” Arun doesn’t represent objects and figures per se, but captures sensations through ambiguous possibilities of networks and relationships.
