My name is Igor Trokhymenko. I was born on August 3, 1967 in Kharkiv. I also lived in the Kharkiv region until 2001. I moved to Kyiv in 2001, and now I live there. Why did you start drawing? At one point I felt that I was losing the ability to enjoy and enjoy what I was doing, and looking deep inside, I saw nothing better than painting, which I did a little as a child. Why watercolor? I chose watercolor consciously - it is one of the most difficult techniques in painting, but also one of the most fascinating: works made in watercolor always attract my attention for lightness, transparency and closeness to the essence of life - with the uniqueness of each moment and full of light and color. Why are you interested in landscapes in the first place? I am convinced that life around us is full of beauty that you just need to see, listen to feel, and the works of nature are always perfect in structure, color and composition, which cannot be said about the result of human activity. Separately, I will talk about the genre "Cityscape". One of my favorite pastimes is walking the streets of the city, finding a cozy corner at a table in a cafe and watching life around me. And often there is a desire to snatch this bundle of life and transfer it to paper with watercolors, because it is for me and embodies life - unique, colorful, transparent… I like to paint in the open air, it's a real pleasure for me. No photo or video will convey that color scheme and state of nature at a certain moment, after all, my mood at this moment is also reflected in the work and it is immediately felt. On the basis of some sketches there are works created at home in the studio, they are different in the manner of execution and size.
