"Beast of Burden Series -Elephant" Fine Art Print

Born: New York. Lives in Ibiza Victor Spinelli is a genre-defying artist whose work traverses surrealism, mythology, and social commentary, always anchored by a sense of freedom and bold visual storytelling whose adventurous spirit has taken him through 85 countries. A creator who challenges boundaries through eclectic mediums. ​ Some describe his cohesive philosophical style as an exploration of human liberty, wisdom and absurdity, while his photographic aesthetic being cinematic, provocative, playful. ​ With an adventurous background as a Commercial Hot Air Balloon Pilot while holding a degree in Architecture from the University of Buffalo, Spinelli’s work spans photography, sculpture, ceramics, film scripts, and graphic novels. He gained early recognition capturing the surreal world of Manumission in Ibiza and later launched SPiN Galleries in Shanghai. ​ His notable series—Crucifixion, Beast of Burden, Balance Series, and Read My Lips Series (Not shown)—reflect his deep reverence for Mother Earth. In 2022, he unveiled an 8-meter sculpture of his iconic image Diver UP at Burning Man, marking a pivotal point in his career. ​​​ Based in Ibiza, Spinelli launched Studio 55 Gallery in December 2025, a cultural art center that will have working art studios, an Art Cafe and a beautiful art gallery. This will coincide with the first edition of the SPiN Art Residency in Ibiza, Spain, (linked here) which he is organizing. Its objective is to help bring awareness to our worlds' population about the important issues on our planet, through art. Each selected artist will attend for free, to mix progressive ideas within this critical thinking bouillabaisse of artists. A symposium of ‘Art for the betterment of the planet’ will commence in November of 2026. ​ Please stay tuned for more new creative developments… Victors has had commercial success with clients like, HBO, NBC, 20th Century Fox, Law & Order, A&E Biography, Harman Pro Audio, Peavey Guitars, The Travel Channel, MusicJustMusic, Pacha, the Argentinean ski resort of Las Leas, and the Italian Trade Commission. SPiN Galleries in Shanghai China was launched in March 2013. In 2022, Victor orchestrated the construction of an 8 meter (24 foot) fiberglass and steel sculpture of his popular photograph “Diver UP” for Burning Man. This symbolized a metamorphosis of not only the evolution of Diver UP, but also a demarcation point of his career thus beginning a new chapter within it.
