Leona Mason is a 36-year-old artist originally from the Philippines, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After a brief career as a registered nurse, she migrated to the United Kingdom, which has since become her home. This transition marked the beginning of her artistic journey, showcasing her resilience and adaptability in new environments. While waiting for the opportunity to return to her nursing profession, Leona rediscovered her passion for fine arts. She began painting for friends, family, and colleagues, quickly gaining recognition for her exceptional creativity and skills. Her artwork primarily reflects the beauty of nature, evoking feelings of happiness, positivity, and tranquility. With a diverse portfolio that includes serene landscapes, striking portraiture, captivating seascapes, intricate floral compositions, wildlife, and architectural studies, her pieces resonate deeply with those who appreciate the natural world. Initially exploring various mediums such as charcoal, soft pastels, colored pencils, watercolours, and acrylics, Leona fell in love with oil paints, thanks to the encouragement of her grandfather Stuart in the UK. After seven years of honing her craft, she now specializes in oil paintings and gouache, painting what speaks to her heart. Her evolving body of work is attracting the attention of discerning art collectors, offering a glimpse into the spirit of nature and the tranquility it brings to our lives.
