I studied Textile Design at college and after graduating spent 16 years designing surface pattern for the home furnishings industry. After the Millennium it became increasingly necessary to complete work in a digital format. Although I could work in this way for me personally the passion, reward and creativity were compromised. I then went into teaching for a number of years but never stopped painting. For me painting allows the freedom to create, invent and explore without restriction, it is the perfect way forward for me and I love it.
