ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This is a painting that could be perfectly represented with Yin and Yang. It is a painting of contrasts. It is a realistic and at the same time abstract painting. Colors are present, many at the same time, and their absence is represented by black. Luminosity, light, and the lack of it are present. We physically see the outside of a person, yet at the same time we imagine the “inside” of him, what he is like inside, or how he feels inside. The composition breaks the classical rules, the main figure is just at the beginning of the canvas on the right and the rest of secondary things in the two remaining planes, center and left of the canvas, the most important. For me, the look of the figure and his temperance also stand out, they transmit serenity, confidence and "light". But the important thing is how each one sees it and if it transmits good feelings, I hope so. This has been a painting of a lot of work, eight months. It takes a lot of effort, time, illusion and desire to like and to transmit "something" special that I see in it.

My painting styles are various, I have not settled on just one. I love challenges in painting, and yes, painting what motivates me. But what does characterize me are the bright or bright colors and the light. My painting is totally influenced by Luminism, represented by Sorolla or Joaquín Mir. Another painter who influences me a lot is Paul Cezanne. My paintings gain a lot in presence and with natural light. I try that all my paintings have "something" special, and I think I transmit it, by the comments I receive. Do you see it too?
