I'm starting painting around 1970. I was influenced by the work of the Japanese painter Kaij Higashiyama who used self-made pigments. That inspires me to do the same. The landscape is one of my favorite theme's. Often I use a photo of a landscape as a starting point in my paintings. So I made different collections of landscapes which inspire me. I like the melancholy in the landscape, the sacral dimension and the semiotic vision on it.
