Cheetah Alley Print

I have always been attracted to the welfare of wild animals, especially cheetahs. There is no supermarket for these magnificent beasts, but they still have to feed themselves and their young. To do this successfully they must wait for the opportune moment and acquire their food through guile and strength and agility. And they have seconds rather than minutes to secure their prize, since cheetahs can only maintain their incredible top speed for about 100 metres. Two cheetahs have so much more chance than a single animal. Once singled out, their prey is flanked to stop it veering off and kept on open ground like a dried up river bed in the painting; herded, as it were, down an almost invisible attenuating alley until it becomes disorientated or tires. That is Cheetah Alley!
