I aim through my interpretations of daily routines in people’s lives to create a commentary on human nature. I am fascinated with face expressions and body. I want discover beauty, happiness and emotion. With my work I am trying to show the other side of life in Bosnia and Herzegovina, to demonstrate the complexity of life without war and genocide. Painting, for me, is my ways of understanding the world around me, a way of slowing things down to carefully observe life. My artwork speaks, not only for me, but for people who were long ago silenced.
