ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The figures of the choristers - singing heads were the subject of my cycle in 2016. It was an experiment with showing sound and human voice. The last of these works titled Chorus girl were created after seeing the work of an American artist of Italian origin Carol Rama: Lusinghe (Flattery), 2003. I painted the girls' red tongues with my own delicate watercolor. The work is unframed.

I move between different styles, combining abstraction with figuration. Concerning themes and my color palette, I have no restrictions, with one exception: I avoid dramatism in depicted situations. Only the scale between extensive backgrounds and minor human figures or vehicles is constant. I am inspired by Dutch painting, especially by Peter Breughel. I like to think of my paintings as a kind of poetry without words.
