Mary Ann is a professional artist from Charlotte, North Carolina. She has always been a painter and after her children were out of high school, she enrolled in the East Carolina University School of Art and was juried into her major of Painting and Drawing. Mary Ann graduated with honors and also received the awards "Most outstanding senior in the school of art" and "Most outstanding senior in Painting and Drawing. At East Carolina, Mary Ann was exposed to metalsmithing, sculpture and woodworking and has gone on to become a full time artist who has simultaneously pursued painting and metalsmithing. Over the past 6 years Mary Ann's passion for painting has overtaken other forms of artistic expression and she now paints full time. Her work is in numerous corporate and private collections and has been featured in Southern Living Magazine.
