If the work of Živilė Rudzikaitė - Matuzonienė should be described in one word, it would be peace. Peace not in the sense that everything is quiet, but peace as assurance, as reliable trust in your inner voice, which comes from a strong relationship with yourself and the surrounding environment. This is evidenced by bold, solid color spots, clear, strong outlines of the drawing and very sparingly, sparingly used details. There are almost none of them, but each one is important and significant. The author herself says that she does not want to limit herself to one style or theme. Each cycle of her work is like a rebirth, looking for ever new angles, different ways to express inner experiences. nevertheless, you will soon notice that the most common themes of his work are nature, its natural transformations, and man's relationship with it. The artist herself lives surrounded by nature, so there is no need to look far for inspiration. In the constant circle of nature, she discovers her own moods and experiences. The strength of the author's paintings is universality. They record states, transformations that do not change over the ages and are recognizable to everyone. Natural landscapes here turn into landscapes of the soul, through which the gaze can wander without getting tired and constantly looking for new interpretations. In addition to painting, the artist spent a long time studying. She has a bachelor's degree in philosophy from VU (Vilnius University), and a bachelor's and master's degree in fine arts from VDA (Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts).
