Ukrainian artist whose practice focuses on the theme of memory, exploring it through the tension between personal and official histories, as well as through the lens of social critique. Since 2016, he has been actively engaged in land art, which has significantly shaped his perception of landscape and modes of spatial interaction. This led to a shift away from the traditional subject–object model toward an understanding of the environment as an active participant in the artistic process. Such an approach brings forward questions of ecology, materiality, and overproduction. At the same time, a continuous thread in his practice is the investigation of memory — the processes of recollection, suppression, and forgetting. His work spans installation, photography, painting, as well as participatory and performative practices, often engaging with archives and land art. He lives and works in Vienna.
