"Cycles of Light and Shadow Abstract" Fine Art Print

Hafsa Waheed is an emerging contemporary artist whose work explores cultural heritage, tradition, and identity through painting. Her practice draws inspiration from South Asian visual culture, particularly elements of realism and still-life compositions, Islamic calligraphy, traditional textiles, and everyday domestic objects. Her process typically starts with sketching the composition and establishing the structural balance of the elements. She then gradually builds layers of color, texture, and detail using acrylic paints and fine brushwork. Pattern, ornamentation, and texture play an important role in her work, requiring patience and precision throughout the painting process. By combining realism with traditional visual elements and patterns, I try to capture moments that reflect identity, heritage, and personal observation. My goal is to create artworks that evoke familiarity, appreciation for tradition, and a deeper connection to the cultural environment around us.
