ABOUT THE ARTWORK

DNA CODES For over thirty years, Krzysztof Pająk has been consistently depicting the world and commenting on its structures, energy and color. He constantly discovers something new, something exciting. He talks about what was, what lasts and passes. With exceptional sensitivity, with alchemical inquisitiveness, he observes the processes of formation and consolidation, annihilation and destruction of elements of the earth globe, the area of human existence, his activities, work and creation. The artist's anxiety and own observations made him experience life as a weave of secrets, peculiarities, unexpected events, situations and phenomena. The artist carefully looks into the depths of time and history, urges to frank conversation about the present - this ordinary, everyday and this mysterious, intriguing, not subject to easy comments and interpretations. For me, art is ordering the chaos of the world around us - says Krzysztof Pająk. Under what is considered superficial decorativeness, I would like to reveal the other bottom - noble simplicity and harmony. He speaks with caution about the essence and sense of existence, the need to learn about nature and the mechanisms of life; warns against destroying the order of proven, good systems. After cycles of paintings about coral reefs, urban landscapes, integrated circuits, star constellations, the time has come for the artist's painting reflections on the essence and role of DNA - deoxyribonucleic acid, an organic chemical compound that acts as a carrier of genetic information in living organisms. DNA is a record of the hereditary properties of everything that lives. The first detailed model of the DNA molecule was developed in 1953 by James Watson and Francis Crick - an American-British genetic tandem - for which, nine years later, they were awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Its spatial scheme resembles a ladder bolted around its axis; is called the double helix. Krzysztof Pająk, curious about the complexity of DNA and its huge role in the structures of living matter, boldly comments on the biological connections and addictions of a complex, extremely diverse system. Recreates the world around us with an unlimited range of colors. The dense, intriguing painting matter multiplies human emotions, moods, feelings and emotions that illustrate and define the life of the inhabitant of the earth globe, his deeds and predispositions, dreams and dreams. Colors interpenetrate, complement each other, resonate; intensify visual sensations. Many of the paintings are associated with musical notation of an avant-garde, multidimensional musical piece. Each painting sign and artistic value fulfill strictly defined functions, harmonize with each other and create a unique vision of reality. From the diversity and mystery of the world, its various forms, shapes and colors, Krzysztof Pająk extracts what is most important in understanding the sense of human movement in the extremely extensive and complex territory of biological and intellectual life. His paintings are a record of sensations and fascinations, emotions and irritations that accompany each of us every day. They are a very personal, convincing reading of the metaphysical and existential dimension of the past, present and future. Jerzy Brukwicki For many years the head of the "Gallery Critics Show"
