“I always try to create something wild and elegant, not only eye-catching, but also intriguing and mystic.” “I’m often inspired by the universe, birth of lives, formless and powerful elements of the nature such as wind, cloud, fire, waves and flowers.” Painting is a lifelong passion of Even Pangpai. From vector design to digital painting, from watercolor to acrylic, she finally found the most expressive art form in oil painting. Her works can be both wild and subtle at the same time, freewill and well-controlled. Influenced by abstract expressionism, abstract landscape, surrealism and concept art, she created her unique form of painting that is not only eye-catching in color, elegant in shape, but also meaningful and rational, mystic and intriguing. She is often inspired by the beginning of universe and volatile elements of the nature such as wind, cloud, fire and waves in addition to blooming flowers and birth of mystic creatures. Even Pangpai is a versatile artist. Besides painting, she also plays Guqin (an ancient Chinese string music instrument listed on UNESCO intangible heritage list). Her original music album is available on Soundcloud. Her Guqin music was used in corporate promotional films and she has played Guqin on TV shows. Eight of her English poems (e.g. Change of sea color is sky's mood...) were published in three American magazines ("Autumn Leaves", "Blazevox" and "American Diversity Report”). She also sometimes translates and interpretes.
