Born in 1982 in Lithuania and currently residing and working in England, I graduated from the Art Academy in Vilnius with a Bachelor's degree spanning 2001 to 2005. My artistic expression revolves around the conceptual essence of landscapes, a filter for the author's perceptions and recollections. Emotions are conveyed through a direct connection with nature, allowing for a departure from mere impressions of the moment. Instead, the focus is on employing one's own sensibilities to reveal the overarching panorama of the painted landscape. This approach can be described as a meditative aesthetic mode, where the deeply felt and reconsidered emotions of the artist become apparent. In my paintings, the landscape serves as a mere pretext for aesthetic composition. The composition itself is crafted by the artist, serving as a focal point for the viewer's contemplation and a gateway to universal reflections. The result is a body of work that transcends a simple depiction of nature, inviting viewers to delve into the artist's introspective journey and engage in broader, more profound contemplations.
