Claudia Christof's pictures are characterised by a powerful sense of peace. They emphasise clear shapes which reduce to the essential. In her works is place for randomness which appears, among others, as reoccurring grimace-like faces that catch the eye. The artist likes to work with moving models, she catches these moments 1:1 in her creations without diluting them in memory. Colours are in the muted intermittent palette and straddle the tension between bashfulness and dominance. The hue changes from cold, hard blues to strong reds tarnished with black.   Lines go from smoothly flowing to hard, angular, nearly geometric cuts that shift their bodies into erotic movement.
