Born in 1968 in Bochum, from my early childhood on I drew and painted with great enthusiasm. So there was never really a doubt about it to work in a creative way. Predominantly I'm a figurative and landscape painter and mainly work in oil on canvas, using different techniques in order to constantly discover new ways to express. My work concentrates on the individual and atmospheric side of my view on people, landscapes and places. Instead of giving reproductions of reality, I am more interrested in creating a sort of subtle, hidden story behind snapshots of the eye. To discover this story is up to the viewer. It can vary individually. This is very important to me, because I think the process of creating should not end by finishing a painting.
