About The Artwork
Nataliya A. Goncharuk Original work: mixed media, watercolor, acrylic, holograms, beads, fluorescent paints, 41x31 cm. The painting was inspired by Ukrainian traditions, history, bright peculiar folk costumes and loving people with their sensitive and responsive soul and generosity. The character of this painting is a young woman overwhelmed by influx of emotions after her secret lover's rendezvous in the dark night. A photography of my work cannot reproduce the real colors and spirit of the painting, as they may change depending on the angle of view and light conditions. Holograms, beads and colorful stones were used to strengthen the costume beauty and impart an additional volume, depth and intensity to the painting. The painting acquires a light radiance at dusk due to technique of adulteration of fluorescent powders to paints.

Nataliya A. Goncharuk is an artist living and working in the Czech Republic. Nataliya enjoys very much experimenting in art techniques. Her favorite techniques are oil on canvas, encaustic, acrylic, watercolor and various combined techniques. As a child, Nataliya participated in numerous art competitions and exhibitions in Kharkov, Ukraine, where she was born. After moving to the Czech Republic her first big exhibition took place in Prague in 2008 (Smart art gallery, Nerudova 47, Prague). Since then Nataliya's art works have been exhibiting in several galleries in Prague. Nataliya has PhD in theoretical solid state physics from Charles University in Prague.
