ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This magical tale of the wise old owl was inspired by my love of the occult and supernatural. The owl became associated with the Greek goddess Athena, daughter of Zeus, goddess of wisdom and war. Owls are believed to be wise and protectors. This owl is ancient and wise, one with nature, and all knowing. This piece was created as a way to connect to the divine and nature. It is my conceptualization of being one with nature, connecting with our ancestors, and calling on the wisdom of the divine to guide us through life. I have also added a gloss varnish to protect and enhance the colors and depths of this piece.
