Elena Morozova was born in 1994 in Latvia. She has been fascinated with art for as long as she can remember and around 2008 began studying drawing and painting, quickly falling in love with the process. After pursuing a different career path for a while, in 2014 Elena decided to take a chance and pursue a career in art. In 2019 she received formal education from the Art Academy of Latvia. Elena is deeply drawn to color and the way it can express emotions, tell stories, or evoke memories. In her work, she tries to capture the world around her through a personal, expressive lens while still striving for precision. Her paintings are a tribute to the beauty of the natural world. Elena enjoys working en plein air or creating vibrant still lifes and florals in her studio. She also has an interest in portraiture and occasionally works in that genre. Elena finds joy and peace in painting, taking inspiration from the ordinary yet meaningful moments of daily life. Influences include the work of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist painters, as well as Dutch Golden Age painters such as Rembrandt and Vermeer.
