The best thing about art is that it takes you from here to someplace else, leaving you with a sense of freedom and empowerment that one yearns for.My work encourages bias of form and the positioning of strong and bold colors to convey human emotions. It focuses on leaving an impact by evoking a memory from the viewer’s background by connecting relevance to feelings and initiate an emotional response through distortion and exaggeration rather than composition.The usage of repetitive rough strokes is to convey reactions to the anxiety and depression of the modern world in the hope to reignite spirituality by showing ideas of survival and faith.Through my work I want viewers to rethink what matters, what doesn’t, what dreams they’ve killed, what passions they’ve abandoned and what secrets they’ve buried.
