I'm Anna, an artist from Armenia with a lifelong passion for art and fashion. While pursuing a master’s degree in biology, I also explored fashion design through formal studies at a design school, eventually discovering my love for oil painting—a medium that became central to my creative expression. In my paintings, I explore identity through the prism of beauty. Contemporary culture actively shapes our external image through fashion, social media, and evolving standards of attractiveness. But who are we beyond these constructs? I see beauty not as a goal, but as a gateway to reflection on the self. For me, it lies not only in facial features, but also in energy, inner strength, and the right to be oneself. My subjects are women of different races, ages, and types. In their gazes, postures, and skin tones, there is not just aesthetic form, but a visible trace of personal history. I create visual metaphors that reflect the tension between how we wish to be perceived and who we truly are. Beauty in my work is not a conclusion it is a starting point. An invitation to dialogue and introspection. Here, identity is not fixed. It exists on the shifting border between the outer and the inner, between perception and authenticity.
