Carlos Orrea is a painter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1948, to Spanish parents. He currently lives in Bogotá, Colombia. He studied at the Panamerican School of Art in Buenos Aires and began exhibiting his work in 1968. Orrea's paintings are part of the modernist movements that follow futurism, where symbolism is always present. His paintings have both narrative and expressive value, transforming reality into a dreamlike vision in a masterful way and inducing the viewer to read the untold story that resonates on the canvas.
