I am driven to create work by distilling nature into abstract form that beckons me into the sublime, that place where emotion holds dominance over vocabulary. As a contemporary artist, I am inspired by the balance between precision and freedom. I create meditative spaces that invite curiosity. My work is influenced by my extensive travels, love of nature, and living along the coast of Rhode Island. My abstract and representational paintings, installations, sculptures, and large-scale photographic works are characterized by organic forms and the use of nontraditional materials. My most recent paintings, "Stasis & Metamorphosis Collections," are poetic. Their graceful sculptural and curvilinear forms in sophisticated color palettes seem to float in the atmosphere.
