"Ghost Within" Fine Art Print

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. For the last 32 years I've been painting in Paris. I like paintings that concern the emotions not intellectualizations.The paintings are made with a high degree of physicality, a broad range in the material, from juicy to thick, and with a wide range of color. The subject matter very often is power, violence, and anger. Elements of the paintings often reference myths. There is also a sexuality to the work which is evident through signs and brush strokes. I like certain well made paintings by Terry Winters, Georg Basilitz, Markus Lupertz, Mario Schifano, Julian Schnabel, J-M Basquiat, Marlene Dumas, Chris Martin, Ron Gorchov and the painters comprising the New York School. I very much appreciate Monet, Georges Rouault and DuBuffet. The list goes on and on.
