Born in 1984 in Mysore, Karnataka, India. Schooling and College from Mysore and Tumkur, Karnataka India. My interest in art began at an early age and i participated in several children art competitions and several prizes, i was duly discouraged to pursue art as a career growing up. Am an Engineer and worked as an Engineer for few years. After i got married i had to move to different towns for his work and i failed to get jobs in those towns that was similar to my previous employment. after a lot of soul searching i decided to become an artist and pick it up from where i had left out in childhood. People are my big inspiration and i have always been drawing and painting people. Due to my Indian roots i cannot escape from color and i am absolutely in love with colors. i use lots of colors in my paintings of figures and portraits. I had some amazing teachers and mentors, who have very patently kept on repeating what i need to do, Dayanand Kamkar, S K Pattar are my teachers. Acrylic is my medium, it can give beautiful textures and layers in short span of time, which for me is true essence as i will be juggling being a mom and a full time artist painting from my kitchen island.
