I have been an artist since 1990, the first 20 years as a ceramic artist and a painter since 2010. I work with acrylic paint and incorporate several mark making, collage and textural materials into my paintings. I like to think the initial view of my paintings will draw the viewer in for a closer look to see all the details. I have sold and displayed my artwork in local galleries. I have completed and sold several commissioned paintings. I have always been drawn to figurative artwork, my early figurative paintings were more representational with abstract backgrounds. Over time I have gravitated to abstract figurative work and abstract expressionism which I find allows the mind to be free to express itself. As an artist my hope is that my artwork evokes emotion in others and ultimately brings joy.
