Happy Hour Print

The painting is a depiction of a cold, rainy December afternoon in the city of Willoughby, Ohio near where I grew up. The downtown area retains much of the old history while local businesses continue to change and thrive as times change. Moody scenes are a joy to paint because I like to see familiar things in a new way, deepening my appreciation for them. The impressionistic style accentuates the diffused light I hope this painting evokes memories and the sights and sounds of home, wherever that may be for you.
