I am inspired by the small details of life that we often take for granted. Art to me is an appreciation of nature which makes the ordinary, extraordinary. I was born on Yoron Island located near the southern tip of Amami Oshima-Gun, part of Kagoshima prefecture, Japan. I grew up in a world without any modern technology, thus the nature was my playground. Throughout my childhood experience, I was fascinated with discovering the beauty of nature. It is my goal to convey the beauty and the pureness of nature, as well as feelings, a sense of mood, and harmony into my oil paintings. I am an oil painter, a silk kimono weaver, and a certified flower designer. I took art classes at Greenfield Community College (GCC), Massachusetts in 2013, and oil painting has become part of my passion since then. Most of my works are of landscapes, a few abstracts, and a few portraits. I have experimented with many different mediums of art throughout the years, and today I favor using oil paint. But long ago my first endeavors in creating and exploring what art meant to me began with thousands of fine silk threads. With my past experience through weaving silk kimono and arranging flowers, it is my wish to share my love for paintings in hopes of becoming a better painter that viewers will be inspired.
