Kellogg Newell was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on April 15, 1982, the youngest of three siblings, all of whom have gone on to pursue careers in the arts. A self-taught painter currently living in Pittsburgh, he discovered his passion for art at the age of twenty-five, falling in love with the freedom and creative expression it allowed him to experience. His work encompasses both abstract and representational art, much of which carries political and social messages that give his work a decidedly urban feel. His paintings have attracted both a national and international market, including buyers in Los Angeles, Boston, Paris, and Madrid.
