I have acquired the knowledge of some painting and drawing techniques not in a divine way, but rather a product of courses and classes outside the academy. should I say then that I am self-taught? I was born in Panama on November 16, 1971. Like many, drawing has fascinated me since I was a child. I found in it a way of expressing myself, since I have never been good with words or interaction in society. my works are diverse and many times they express in an abstract or funny way my most critical thoughts about the society in which we live. My paintings are personal and honest attempts to talk about what keeps me awake at night: this strange distance we have built between us and everything else. I am obsessed with how we have managed to disconnect from the most natural, from our own bodies. As if we had decided that being "civilized" means forgetting where we come from. And in the process, we have also complicated things that should be simple, such as understanding who we are beyond the labels they put on us or that we put on.
