I mainly work in acrylics, often adding genuine gold or silver leaf touches. I enjoy studying light and reflection. I love color, whether it’s nuanced in muted glazes, or bold, vivid colors applied in a way that they seem to glow. I frequently pair impasto palette knife painting with smooth, blended brushstrokes. Texture is an important element in my work. Nature is one of God’s beautiful creations and I find endless inspiration in its ever changing beauty. I especially find my home state of Tennessee captivating. I was recently named one of “11 Emerging Contemporary Artists From Nashville to Know”, by The Culture Trip. My paintings have been featured on HGTV’s Listed Sisters. My artwork is in private collections throughout the US as well as in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center collection.
