About The Artwork

Kingfishers are probably the most colorful birds in Poland. This bird often builds a nest in a burrow in a cliff above a river, sometimes quite far from the shore. However, this translation is not correct, because the name of the bird is not connected with "earth" but with "winter" (the bird is supposedly "born" in winter. Kingfishers are important components of ecosystems and good bioindicators of the health of freshwater communities. The highest densities of breeding birds are recorded in habitats with clean water and trees and shrubs on the banks, which makes it easier to observe prey. The habitats chosen by kingfishers also have the highest water quality, so the presence of this bird confirms the water quality standard. \ The painting can form a whole consisting of 3 separate paintings 100x150 cm, or it can be divided into two separate parts 1 x 80c100 cm, the second part 2x50x70 cm. The price is for one part

My painting is not a scream, a manifesto... it is a form of internal reportage-perception of nature. Taming. It gives joy. Soothes It becomes a reflection created from the experience of being close to nature and animals. My work has been related to animals for many years. I create cycles of paintings depicting birds, horses, dogs ... The subject of animals gives me endless inspiration and the possibility of development. I like to paint at home. In peace. Slowly. My paintings are in private collections in Poland, USA ,Brazil. France and Norway. I graduated from the Art Institute in Krakow, where I live and work. Invitation and participation in the Florence Biennale in 2023. The days of the Florence Biennale are characterised by a rich programme of events, performances, workshops, talks and the presence of guests of honour. The event once again brings together artists and designers from all over the world, who can dialogue with the theme chosen for this edition: I AM YOU - Individual and Collective Identities in Contemporary Art and Design.
